ski clinic

We've had this whole ski clinic fiasco at Taos. I blogged a week or so ago about how we got stuck in the beginner's class, but got moved up to the next level halfway through class. Well, next week we were put back in the beginner's class. And it was just bad - Nathan and I were frustrated cause it was too easy, and another skier was very frustrated because it was too hard. Plus the class was rather large compared to the other classes - six people versus 3 or 4.

It actually kept me awake the other night for a little while - I just started thinking about it, and it was hard to stop. Eventually I made myself imagine adobe house plans in an effort to get it off my mind, and pet the cat rather forcefully. I just feel pissed off that I spent 150 bucks, can't get my money back (14 bucks if I ask for a refund now), and am not learning much of anything. And the biggest thing of all is that this is supposed to be fun, not stressful. So we are probably just going to drop out, but not before I let them know about the problem. Its not worth feeling all stressed every single Sunday for the next four weeks.

Yesterday I wrote a strongly-worded email to the Taos Ski School. I felt a lot better after that. The person who checked the email responded and said they had printed it out for the person in charge of the ski school.

Who knows - maybe they will be able to change things for us. Or maybe it is just too late.
