caffeine update - weeks later

So I am really all-or-nothing it looks like with caffeine.

As you may know, I went without caffeine or chocolate for a full week. I had headaches until the seventh day, when they rested. Since then, I have had small amounts of caffeine on and off. For the first week after my fast, I probably only had any real caffeine on one day. The last few days I have had a cup of green tea once during the day. And every single day I have done it I've gotten a headache later on. Yesterday I had some in the morning - and last night I resorted to Advil. And on Monday and Tuesday, I started getting super sleepy in the afternoon, so I had some Moroccan Mint tea, which has green tea in it. I didn't really notice a pick me up from it, and the next morning I had headaches.

So I'm thinking I am ultra sensitive to this stuff. I also feel tired today and have a very subtle headache. The thing I did notice while not on caffeine after the initial withdrawal headaches was the LACK of headaches. It was very nice. Yesterday was the first time I had used Advil in weeks. Usually for me it is a matter of days. So I think caffeine is largely responsible for this. Bummer.

I think I'll stop having caffeine again, but still have chocolate, and see how that goes. I would like to be able to have the occasional cup of coffee, but I think I need to accept that I will have a caffeine hangover whenever I do.

On the upside, I really enjoy Tazo's Lotus Decaf Green tea. All the antioxidants, very little mojo.
